I want the name of our Lord Jesus Christ exalted to my generation. I pray that the Lord will use my sermons in the local church to create a spirit of humility, and an understanding of the grace of God that will lead to the people loving their Lord and supporting their pastor and local church. I pray that the outreach evening rally will reach the entire community as the people in the churches invite friends, relatives, and neighbors to the gym night. People will come to an exhibition in a public school that would never come to a church building. By doing the school assemblies, the radio and television spots, newspapers, etc. many will find out about the rally.
People ask what keeps you going playing over 50 games most weeks. I believe everything the Bible says including;
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life
was cast into the lake of fire."
I do not see the young people on the bleachers. I take them off the bleachers, in my mind, and hang the crowd over a lake of flames ready to drop into the flames.
All of a sudden I have the strength to play again and speak again and again and again. At the rally I describe the crucifixion and how Christ took our place on the cross and bore our sins.
1 Peter 2:24
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
