We have some great resources to assist you in planning and promoting your rally. The Lord has blessed us with some great helpers and you may click on there name and email your request for assistance. Dr. Carl Hatch always said we must organize, so we can mobilize, and then we can evangelize. This is some of the greatest advice ever given in regards to reaching the lost. You or your contact person needs to begin contacting schools at least twomonths in advance of the scheduled revival/rally. The sooner you begin to contact schools the better chance you have of booking them for an assembly. Normally you will have some schools that will book last minute just as I did back in November. I only had 3 schools after promoting for three months and then the Lord blessed tremendously the week before our meeting. We wound up having 8 assemblies and were able to reach over 7,000 young people. Yes, there is a lot of work involved. It makes it worth every minute when you are standing in one of your public schools and some of your kids in your youth department introduce you to their friends. The rally we had on November the 9th was amazing the Lord blessed with 600 in attendance and approximately 100 hands went up after asking Jesus to save them. Once the rally has past you now have an opportunity to have a continuing ministry (a Christian Club). This is because the faculty is amazed at the young peoples response to Bro. Holmes presentation. You will also have hundreds of contact cards to follow up with. Every decision card will have a folded corner so you will have an idea of who made a profession of faith. Booking Schools for the rally
I found out that showing this to counselors, PTO or PTA's, athletic directors, and DARE officers help develop some interest in the right people to get you to the principal. Normally the very first question is, "How Much?". Bro. Holmes will explain how this works once you are interested in hosting a City Wide Rally. - Church Promotional Video—Ron will be mailing this to you as well because it helps your people see what the ministry is all about. It is a 10 minute video that shows some of the school assemblies and it shows Bro. Holmes giving the gospel at a City Wide Rally. Once again please include your mailing address so we can send you this video as well.
· Invoices—whether a school books for free or a negotiated amount most of them want some documentation that they had an assembly in there school. Peggy Merkey handles this part of the ministry. You will need to email her the school information. This would be the school name, address, phone number, email address, and the contact person. Door Prize Registration Cards—These are in Word format as well and can be updated just like the rally tickets. It is good to staple them to a signature card and hand them out as people enter the gym. There are many things you can do to advertise in the schools to develope interest to attend the rally. Here a few suggestions for door prizes/give a ways and you can use your imagination as well. Pizza for all who attend A gaming system. We gave away an X-Box 360, the kids loved it. A TV DVD combo A Video Ipod Signed Volleyballs Gift certificates from local businesses—I found out that many companies are very willing to give gift cards to you for this event. Some businesses even gave money to help with the gym rental and printing cost. You need to start talking to the businesses at least one month in advance of the rally. Resources to help promote and assist with the RallySignature Cards—(Contact Eli at 610-678-2640) These are available free of charge. You will only have to pay for the shipping. I had 3 boxes shipped (10,500) and the cost was $54.00. These are great to give away in the public school assemblies. We stapled the tickets to the rally flier and gave them to the kids all at once. This was a whole lot easier than carrying around several sheets of info. What is even greater is that the school will pass them out for you. - Rally Tickets—These are in word format and you can easily put in the information that is specific to your event. They are what you need to staple to the signature cards. We have a color printer at our Church and printed them ourselves, but you can take the file on a disc and have a printing company do them for you as well.
- Posters—Ron Kostreba will mail these to you upon request. These are large posters that you can put up in places of business or in the schools. Please provide your name, address, and phone number in your email.
- Teams/Supporters Spreadsheet—This is a tool you can use to help keep track of your event. Be sure to recruit 5 to 6 teams for the rally night. Try and get some that will help draw the community. Here are a few suggestions; The Local Police Department, The Fire Department, The Military Recruiters, A professional sports team, (Football, Basketball, Hockey, etc.), Popular Local Restaurants, and sometimes a local school would like to have a rematch.
